THE WINDMILL TEAROOM

Our vintage designed tearoom

Seasonal Menus, Locally Sourced

Our menus are designed to reflect the best of each season, with a focus on home-cooked dishes made using locally sourced and often organic ingredients. From comforting classics such as beef in red wine to lighter options and freshly baked scones, every dish is prepared with care. A range of teas, coffees, and homemade cakes are available throughout the day, making the tearoom an ideal spot for lunch, afternoon tea, or a casual catch-up.

A Historic Setting with a Warm Welcome

The Tearoom at Wymondham Windmill offers a unique dining experience within the setting of a carefully restored 19th-century windmill. Surrounded by Leicestershire’s peaceful countryside, it provides a calm and inviting space for visitors to enjoy quality food in a characterful environment. Whether you’re visiting as part of a day out or simply stopping by for a quiet break, the tearoom combines traditional charm with thoughtful hospitality.

Part of a Wider Experience

Located at the heart of the Wymondham Windmill site, the tearoom is part of a wider destination that includes our boutique shops, a woodland puzzle trail, and a children’s play area. With both indoor and outdoor seating available, including tables overlooking the surrounding landscape, the tearoom is well-suited to individuals, families, and groups alike. We welcome both pre-booked visits and walk-ins, and aim to provide a consistently high standard of service in a relaxed, countryside setting.
